I Stink...

I know. Not literally, but at blogging, I stink. ;)

Not a bunch to update about. Yesterday the last bit of artwork headed out to a residence in California somewhere. And that, my friends, is that. Painting is done until mid-January sometime. My house is gonna thank me. As is my family. We've been living like pigs for the last month. The house is filthy. I'm seriously considering hiring a house cleaner. I've been painting ALL day and into the wee morning hours for the last week. It feels sooooo good to be finished. And we have a new "scrap boutique" that opened up in River Ranch that I can't wait to visit. And buy pretty things to use in January.

Cameron lost his first tooth. I do have pics, but not on the computer yet. He was sooooo excited. It wasn't wiggling too much one day and the next day, he gets home from school and it's hanging. The teacher said he wiggled and played with it the entire day. LoL.

Huge Huge Huge congrats to my sweet friend D, who just tied the knot. I'm sure she made a BEEEutiful bride and I cannot wait to see the pics.

Payton had her Christmas dance program on Wednesday and she actually danced! We were so worried that she would come out and see everyone and not dance, but she did and it was the cutest thing. I loved watching. I had tears in my eyes the whole time.

So that's the update in a nutshell. Our first Christmas party is tomorrow night. Gumbo and family we haven't seen in awhile, should be lots of fun!

Happy Friday!

It's All About the Random

1. Cameron left for school in shorts for the 2nd day in a row. It is December, am I right? Supposedly cold weather is heading this way.

2. Painting is in full swing for the Christmas season. As is jewelry apparently. We are both really busy. Only a couple more weeks to go.

3. I have made a pre-New Year's resolution that I am not taking any painting orders for at least a few weeks into the New Year. I will scrapbook. Yes, I will.

4. Cameron has his first loose tooth. He's beyond excited and wants me to go buy apples.

5. I'm loving my Blackjack like you wouldn't believe. Checking my email and stuff. Love. I guess I could've done that on the Razor, but I didn't ever set it up.

6. I might just be more excited about Payton's Christmas gifts than she will be. She wanted a Barbie doll house. Can I tell you how excited I'm gonna be to play with that thing with her. That is, if I let her play. ;) I was a little deprived as a child. I didn't have the house. Or the car. My Barbie lived under the rocking chair and drove a lunch box.

7. Eric is working Saturdays until Christmas which is throwing me for a loop. It feels like it should be Friday and it's Tuesday.

8. Took the kids to see the Bee Movie Saturday. We'll probably go see Mr. Magorium's Wonder Imporium this Saturday. And maybe Alvin and the Chipmunks next Saturday. Got to fill those days with Eric working and all.

9. Does anyone still read this thing?

10. Happy Friday, um I mean Tuesday. Dang it. ;)

On Being 31

So 31 has come and gone and I don't feel any different. Except for maybe the hot flashes I've been experiencing. LoL. I kid you not, all week long I've been getting super hot and my cheeks and ears have been getting really red. I'm getting old, apparently.

This fun surprise made my heart happy. All of my girls made cards with buttons and bling. My two faves. Thanks again, girlahs for making my day soooo special. I ♥ you all!

Eric got me one of these and I love it. It's just taken a lot of getting used to. Yes, the pink Razor has been retired. She served me well, but I'm just moving up in the electronic world. LoL. He also got me a cookie cake from the Great American Cookie Company, which Payton proceeded to drop in the garage. Thankfully, most of it stayed in the box. She cried for awhile after that and we reassured her that it was ok.

We then called my brother in law, Ali-who shares my birthday-to sing happy birthday to him. The kids started pushing on each other while they were singing and Payton ended up screaming and crying. She then took the phone and it sounded a little something like this: "Happy sob sob Birthday sob to sob sob sob you. Waaaaaa! Ha sob sob ppy sob..." Ali said he was touched by her emotional tribute. I was trying not to laugh, but having a hard time keeping it in.

We went to the Christmas parade on Sunday. The kids had fun. It was a lot more crowded than usual, which I didn't like. Last year it was really cold, so I guess that kept a lot of people away. This year we had two boys about 11 come stick themselves right in front of the kids. They gave the kids almost everything they caught, but still, it kind of took the fun out of it for them. This year it was 82 for the parade, the following night? 32 degrees and back up to 80 tomorrow. It's a roller coaster I tell ya.

Better sign off and take Blondie to dancing. Happy Wednesday!

On to Jr. High!
